About Me

Two things I'm good at: makings lists and procrastinating. Hopefully this new enterprise will help with the latter. I am a single, female travel-addict from Scotland. My main aims are to visit Antarctica and to fix that leaky tap in the bathroom.

Ooh, my first blog update! I've got a few things on my list to tick off: admittedly, they are some of the easy ones...
1. Create a blog. Done! Might change the photo (of South Georgia), it's making me feel a little chilly in July.
41. Join the library. Am now the proud owner of a shiny blue library card, but I do have fond memories of the old card ones.
61. Do application for SoM course. After much procrastination, it is done. May not be any good, but it is done and sent.
87. Hang pictures in spare room. It is done, and it looks good.
89. Grow vegetables in pots. I have several courgettes growing, the tomatoes and chillies are flowering, and the lettuce looks lush. Unfortunately, I forgot to pick and eat the pak choi which has turned into a massive leafy cabbage.
96. Frame Mum's photo. Now smiling down at me, memories of happy times.

And I've started on a few others including restarting 30 Day Shred today, have tried a couple of new recipes, and have read two books from my list but need to try some of the more spiritual things. I'm very good at procrastinating....

Starting today.

I've loved making lists since I was a little girl. I would earn pocket money by cleaning the house on a Saturday but I probably spent more time making the list of what to clean than on the actual dusting and polishing.

But as much as I like writing the lists, I love striking things off the lists one by one, and finally scrunching the paper up.

I've felt stuck in a rut this year so I was very happy to have stumbled upon the 101 in 1001 project to give me the incentive to try some new things out, visit new places and to sort out some household things that I've been putting off.

My big aim is to have saved enough to go on an Antarctic cruise for my 40th birthday in 2012. And to fix that leaking tap.....
